Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Kopuz is an esteemed scholar specializing in Modern Architecture, Modernism, and Republican Era Architecture, with a particular focus on Community Centers. Holding a Ph.D. in Architecture from İstanbul Technical University, she has made significant contributions to the field through her research on the reflection of contemporary thought on life and space, exemplified by her study of People’s Houses. With a background in Civil Engineering, she has held various academic positions, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Namık Kemal University. Throughout her career, she has supervised numerous theses and played pivotal roles in research projects, including coordinating the restoration project of the “Tabakaria” Region in Hania City, Greece. Her dedication to interdisciplinary perspectives is evident in her participation in workshops such as “Characterizing Historic Landscapes.”
